People-focused
Grace Path and Silverdale transform two under-used backland sites into welcoming new communities for Lewisham, providing high-quality affordable homes. The design prioritises comfort and wellbeing, using thoughtful spatial planning to create generous living spaces. Clever responses to challenging conditions - including proximity to the railway and neighbouring properties - ensure every home feels private, bright and spacious.

Inventive
At Grace Path, a slender terrace makes the most of a narrow plot, with private terraces offering outdoor space and open views without overlooking neighbours. At Silverdale, a pair of villa-style buildings echo the rhythm and character of surrounding homes, their scale and form carefully crafted to blend with the existing streetscape. Together, the two schemes demonstrate how inventive design can turn complex sites into distinctive, contextual places to live.

Responsible
Grace Path and Silverdale make intelligent use of land once considered too difficult to develop, showcasing a sustainable approach to intensification. Designed with sustainability in mind, the homes use a fabric-first approach to reduce energy demand and maximise comfort, with large windows bringing in daylight and views. The result is a series of comfortable, efficient homes that deliver social value and long-term environmental benefit.
The design is very impressive and we are all proud to deliver this.
