We’re pleased to share a new editorial film by Jim Stephenson, capturing the first person stories of those who use the Melbourne Metro.

The film moves through the five stations showing each at its best. Bright concourses, bustling urban realm, decorated by a steady flow of passengers. It offers a simple, human view of the network as part of everyday city life.

Across the journey, Jim speaks with passengers, gathering short conversations that bring personal voices to the project. These moments highlight the Metro as a shared public space, defined by the people who use it.

The film reflects our focus on clear, people-centred transport design where stations are not just places travelled through, but places that connect and enhance urban life.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the land where we walk, work and live.

The design for all five stations as part of the Metro Tunnel is a world-class collaboration between leading design practices Hassell, WW+P and RSHP.
